This “cry” is of a woman who lived the post  WWII  “development”  era  in her native country of France, and in the process  lost  all the  bounties of country  life for the illusions of the city.  It is a cry of  urgency, sent to the  still rural  world of her  former country  of adoption, Guatemala.
